October 25, 2014, Lake Forest, CA – Local fighter Nick Moghaddam lost to Ray Sloan by unanimous decision at the preliminary card of Bellator 127 which took place on October 3, 2014 at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California. The event aired live in prime time on Spike TV.
“I had a game plan for this fight with Master Allan Goes but as we all know, fights never go as planned. I saw some things that needed to be fixed and I also saw opportunities where I could have finished the fight.” said Nick Moghaddam.
Moghaddam has received extensive training & preparation under Master Allan Goes. His cardio was overseen by Mark Munoz. Nick also stated that his weight cut was done perfectly and that he was in perfect fighting form coming into the match.
“Nick came in ready to fight and his cardio was off the charts. In fact, if it was a five round championship fight… he would have outlasted Ray Sloan.” said Mark Munoz, one of Nick’s trainers for the fight.
Nick Moghaddam will be taking a break from MMA until January 2015 and will be looking to return to the Bellator cage to get some wins under his belt. In the meantime, he will be competing in the Jiu-jitsu World Championships on November 22-23, 2014. He recently received his first stripe on his black belt from Master Allan Goes and he will be looking to showcase his BJJ skills in the World Championships.
