I recently fought Paul Karsky. The game plan was to stay calm, composed and use my experience to beat my opponent. Paul came in 10 lbs over the weight limit but we decided to go and fight anyway as I was prepared.
During the first round, Karsky went for multiple take down attempts and I was able to clinch with him, defend the take downs with my back to the fence. I reversed positions and unleashed a fierce right elbows, left hooks, and a right round house kick to the top combanation witch hurt him and the round ended.
Round 2 Karsky went for a single leg take down and I defended. I threw him on the fence and landed a hard knee right to his chin then he drops. I pounded on him with a flurry of hammer fists and fight gets stopped = fight is over.
After fight I took the microphone from announcer and called out their champion William Wheeler then Wheeler came in the cage. The title fight was set this month vs William Wheeler as a challenge he accepted.
I will blog more about that soon. Keep in touch.
This past 9 months I have been eating almost all organic foods. I stopped taking vitamins and supplements. I have noticed I went from walking at 230-235 lbs now I’m walking at 215-220 lbs. my energy levels are insane right now and my cardio feels better than ever and I’m noticing a difference in my performance inside the ring/cage while training. I’m able to go way more rounds in practice than I used to now that I started eating all organic. It’s a lot more expensive but it’s your body what is your body worth to you? Eating organic to me just means that you are buying foods that do not have all the crazy chemicals and additives that companies put in foods to make animals and vegetables grow faster.. I find that turkey , ground beef, chicken , eggs , fish are the most important staples of the organic diet. For example you have a cow the farmer will pump it full,of steroids antibiotics and all sorts of chemicals to make it grow bigger and faster. Than we eat the cow and you are crossing over and transferring all these harmful chemicals in to your body and are slowly killing you. These companies that make food do not care about your health and will cut as many corners as possible to make an extra $ dollar off of you . With that being said I think if you do not eat organic you are slowly killing yourself or exposing your self to chemicals that can cause cancer and all types of illnesses. This is horrible for your body. Now I had an argument with some one the other day about milk. I like to drink organic milk and someone told me that I can get my calcium from other sources other than dairy.. But I am a fighter and my bones need that calcium to with stand impact from getting kicked, punched and slammed . Previously in the past 2 years I kept on tearing my innercostals in my ribs and I figured out that I was not eating enough “good fats ” in my diet. When I say good fats I mean omega 3′s I have been eating a ton of almonds and avocados the past 9 months as well and have had no cartridge problems at all.. You have to have a balance in life though and do the best you can with eating organic. Some people take it to another level and get way to neurotic with their diets and that will drive you crazy and you can’t keep that up forever. You need a healthy balance. for example I eat 2 cheat melas a week to shock my body ( NOT CHEAT DAYS) cheat meals . Case studies show this stimulates your metabolism. I also recommend living life I tell my clients it’s ok to go out and drink one day a week and enjoy life (as long as you don’t go overboard) a drink or two one day a week is good for your head maybe a stress relief for you, gotta enjoy life. And as for the neurotic diet people out their you can not keep that up forever and that’s not a healthy balance and one day you will get fat as soon as you stop with your neurotic crazy diet . So my nutrition and diet tip for everyone is to eat organic and find a heathy balance in your diet and to enjoy life. Some main points in my organic balanced diet is
-stay away from saturated fats
-eat tons of raw vegetables
-make sure you eat a lot of high protein foods
-do your best to eat organic everything

Summer is here and it’s fight season for me. I have made some minor changes in my training camp. I am now a full time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor at Gracie Barra Anaheim Hills so this has made me change my schedule around with my training routine. I’m still doing my primary MMA/Wrestling training at Reign Training Center under Mark Munoz. Now I have incorporated the gi more than ever before and have really been working on my gi Jiu Jitsu game. I have started training my ground now with 5x World Jiu Jitsu Champ Octavio Souza, who is a beast on the ground. I have been working hard on my striking as well. I’m ready and anxious to get another win by submission or KO, finish the next fight and move on to the next fight. Training has been very consistent for me so im excited about this fight and have a lot of confidence going in to it no matter what position I get in, I am comfortable.
I’m fighting July 28th at Chaos in the Cage in Lancaster, California. Come see me fight.
